1. Q:what are LEDs ?
A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor device that emits light when electrically forward biased. The color of the emitted light depends on the composition and condition of the semiconducting material used, and can be infrared, visible or near-ultraviolet.
2. Q:What are the benefits of LEDs ?
- Long life.
- Energy efficient.
- Design flexibility.
- Vivid saturated colors.
- Robust and vibration proof.
- Instant light.
- No mercury.
- No UV.
- Low voltage DC operated.
3. Q:Why do we call LEDs as green lighting ?
The green lighting means lights are energy efficient, long life, environmental friendliness and increased safety. LEDs have above-mentioned characters, so we call LEDs as green lighting. Prolight is contributing to environmental protection by investing in green lighting technology.
4. Q:What is high power LEDs ?
Traditional LEDs are designed to operate with no more than 30-60 milliwatts of electrical power. Compared with traditional LEDs, high power LEDs can operate more than 1 watts of electrical power. These high power LEDs used much larger semiconductor die sizes to handle the large power input. Also, the semiconductor dies were mounted to metal slugs to allow for heat removal from the LED die.
5. Q:What is ProLight's product binning ?
Refer to the file as below.
Please refert to product binning
Please refert to product binning
6. Q:How to store LEDs ?
Please do not open the moisture barrier bag (MBB) more than one week. This may cause the leads of LED discoloration. We recommend storing ProLight’s LEDs in a dry box after opening the MBB. The recommended storage conditions are temperature 5 to 30°C and humidity less than 40% RH.
7. Q:Is the slug of the emitter electrical neutral ?
No, the slug of the emitter is not electrically neutral. We recommend the slug to isolate the heat sink. Besides, do not electrically connect either the anode or cathode to the slug.
